The Danceshala was founded and established in 2015 by Vishal and his team.

Vishal, Founder & Director

Vishal has 15 years of vast experience as a Dance Director, choreographer and teacher.

He has been a part of incredible reality shows such as: Dance Plus, India’s Dancing Superstar and many more to showcase his talent and gift of dancing.

Vishal has choreographed many Bollywood shows and events. He has worked with well known dancers and choreographers in the Bollywood industry such as Shiamak Davar, Dharmesh Yelende and Vaibhav Ghuge.

Currently, Vishal is working on global projects with corporate companies such as: Microsoft, Vodaphone Public Limited Company of Telecommunications, Bharti Airtel Limited Telecommunications Company, Radisson Blu hotel chain and many others.

Vishal and his team have also choreographed many school events such as: annual days, sports days and school anniversaries.

Vishal has also judged many prestigious dance competitions in India.

The DanceShala has completed over 500 events including weddings, corporate functions plus school and college events.

Sonia, Director

Sonia joined The Danceshala in 2017, bringing with her a wealth of dance experience and an innate passion for the art form.

From a young age, Sonia has been drawn to dance and began her dance training at the age of 6. She is trained in Indian classical dance Kathak and Bollywood and Hip Hop dance by world renowned teachers.

Throughout her dance career, she has been invited to, has performed at and choreographed many award winning festivals and shows such as: The London Mela with an audience of 100,000 people, The 02 Arena for the Zee Festival, Earls Court for the Miss Asia Beauty Contest, The Southall Mela, Diwali on Trafalgar Square, The Ponte Dawa Dance Festival in Wales, fashion shows, beauty contests, various corporate shows across the UK, dance workshops, several music videos and has achieved numerous accolades and awards.

As the Managing Director of The Danceshala, Sonia is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the school, including managing staff and instructors, planning and executing events and performances and developing new programs and initiatives.

With her years of experience and expertise in the field of dance, Sonia is well-equipped to lead The Danceshala to new heights. She is dedicated to providing students and clients with the best possible dance education and experience. Her passion for dance is evident in everything she does, and she is dedicated to fostering a positive, thriving and supportive environment for all students and clients.

Sonia’s management expertise, coupled with her dance experience, makes her the ideal leader for The Danceshala. Under her guidance, the school continues to grow and evolve, providing students with the opportunity to learn, perform and excel in their passion of dance.
